Originally formed in 1983, the Edge was the rock n’ roll dream of four young teenagers from Bolton, ON. Now, 30 odd years later, the boys are back together. Brought together, again, by the thought of a one-off band reunion at a 50th birthday party, the boys not only pulled off the party but chose to continue that teenage dream. This time the dream, not quite so global, but instead to simply embrace a love and passion for music that never waned over those 30 odd years.
The Edge consist of singer John Cheesman, guitarist Chris Harker and bass player Peter Abbott. Each member carving out their own personal life path, one remaining in music, one in the theatre and one in politics (it doesn’t get more rock n’ roll than that!), they have remained friends through it all. The Edge weaves 80’s pop hits, with 90’s shoe gazing classics, along with 60’s, 70’s and songs from the new millennium… and if you’re lucky they might even pull out one their originals from the first incarnation of the band, then written by four starry eyed dreamers in their teens.
The Edge perform as a duo, a threesome and a full four piece band. Catch them live… you won’t be disappointed!
