Jr. Chef on PD Days


Do you have a Junior Chef (ages 12-15) waiting to embrace their culinary passion? Have them join us in a real Commercial Restaurant kitchen with Chopped Canada Champion Chef Pam Fanjoy, for a day packed full of of culinary adventures!

This is not your ordinary kids cooking class! As a Clinical Social Worker first, with 25 years of experience, Chef Pam always has a focus treating these as sessions that are also helping youth develop critical personal life skills with a focus on our 3 C’s : Communication, Cooperation and Collaboration as a team.

Yes your child will learn a range of cooking skills, but also fire and stove safety so they can come home after school alone safely, (thank you to Hillsburgh Fire Dept for your collaboration on this piece), basic knife skills, kitchen hygiene and also hospitality skill such as serving others, basic manners and fundamentals of etiquette.

We encourage friends and family to plan on lunching at FanJoy on your child’s Jr. Chef day. The junior chefs will prepare & serve lunch meals for all patrons that day.

Limit of 6 children per session.
Children must wear a hat and rubber soled shoes in the kitchen with no loose fitting clothing.
Sessions run from 9 am to 1 pm

Fee: $149 + HST. Non-refundable. Non-transferable
